Rule 1

Team Formation & Eligibility

Teams must register together, meeting all criteria set by the organizers. Roles must be clearly defined, and all participants must adhere to the rules.

  • Open to all Faculty Members to be the Scrum Master. (TA2 onwards).
  • There MUST be one student from HDSE and ADSE Each. Maximum of 1 students from DISM can be included.
  • One students from any university can join as the Associate Team Member.
  • Maximum of one (01) student is allowed from each semester to be taken in the team.
  • Team twice registered can only be modified by maximum 1 member before Pitch submission and other before submission Prototype. Such change will be submitted through official communication. If approved, then the change can be accepted.
  • Any member if involved in any misconduct shall be expelled from the competition.
  • All team members must clearly be assigned project tasks and should be an active team members.
  • Anyone not able to showcase their role and deliverables in the project may be removed by jury from the team.
Rule 2

Development Rules

Development rules are essential guidelines that ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in project execution. They establish best practices for coding, collaboration, testing, and documentation, fostering a structured and professional development environment. Following these rules helps teams achieve reliable and maintainable results.

  • All project teams will be registered on given GitHub Repository and complete development shall be done using this platform by each member.
  • Teams will also be required to use “OSquare” for project management and progress monitoring.
  • Non-Effective use of “Github” and “OSquare” may lead to abrupt termination of participant teams.
  • Projects must be original; plagiarism or excessive use of AI code generators may result in disqualification if it is not done without proper citations and annotations.
  • AI components should demonstrate learning, prediction, or automation.
  • Regular progress updates on the given platforms is mandatory.
Judges & Jury

Roles, Responsibilities & Authorities

Judges ensure fair trials, interpret and apply the law, and oversee courtroom proceedings with authority and impartiality. Juries, on the other hand, represent the community, evaluate evidence, and deliver verdicts based on facts presented. Together, they uphold justice by balancing legal expertise with public representation.

Final Evaluation

  • Evaluate projects based on defined criteria (e.g., Innovation, Technical Feasibility, Impact) in the later stages, such as the Final Presentation.
  • Focus on the technical and practical aspects of the projects.

Scoring and Ranking

  • Assign scores to projects in each evaluation category.
  • Determine the winners and runner-ups based on cumulative scores.

Providing Expert Insight

  • Offer in-depth critiques to improve the idea and its implementation.
  • Recognize standout features or innovative approaches in the projects.

Announcement of Results

  • Deliver final decisions and provide reasoning for the rankings.
  • Celebrate and acknowledge participants' efforts during the awards ceremony.

Initial Screening and Evaluation

  • Review initial submissions, such as problem statements and project plans, to shortlist teams for further rounds.
  • Ensure that all submissions meet the competition's rules and eligibility criteria.

Providing Feedback

  • Offer constructive feedback to participants during the early phases (e.g., Idea Submission, Pitch Day).
  • Help guide teams by highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

Moderation and Conflict Resolution

  • Act as neutral mediators in case of disputes during the competition.
  • Ensure fairness and adherence to rules throughout the event.

Overseeing Competition Integrity

  • Monitor for plagiarism or violations of development rules (e.g., excessive reliance on AI generators).
  • Collaborate with organizers to address any misconduct.

Submission Rules

Rules Of Submission Guidelines

The submission guidelines outline the essential requirements and standards for submitting content or materials, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with specified criteria.

General Submission Guidelines

  • Every submission shall be done before 11:00 PM on or before the given deadline.
  • Team Registration.
  • The registration fee for each team shall be Rs.10,000 (Each student contribution max Rs.1,500). Difference of amount shall be paid by Scrum Master.
  • The team registration shall be through the prescribed online form on official event website www.innovaite.pk.
  • Teams rejected by jury/judges on Idea submission or Pitch day, shall be refunded the full amount.
  • Idea Submission.
  • Scrum Master is required to submit the “Problem Statement and proposed Solution” Problem statement.

Pitch Day

  • If any team needs to present their pitch through Power Point; the presentation should be submitted/uploaded at given platform latest by 10:00 AM on the same day. Anything coming after deadline shall not be allowed to be presented.

Project Plan Submission

  • Teams submit a detailed plan in pdf format and that must include.
  1. System architecture (Diagrams Encouraged)
  2. Technology stack selection and justification
  3. Key features and user flow

Prototype Submission

  • The prototype must be prepared using Figma and must represent the core functionalities and screens to be used as UI. However 25% changes are permissible till the final product.
  • Any team failed to satisfy the jury/judges about the seriousness to stay in competition or having capabilities to complete the project may be eliminated without any challenge.

Pre-submission Presentation

  • This is first review of the product, and it is expected that the product must be completed except some UI improvements and QA like, validation issues, bug-fixing etc. The project must be live on the given hosting on official domain www.innovaite.pk.
  • Any team failed to satisfy the jury/judges about the seriousness to stay in competition or having capabilities to complete the project may be eliminated without any challenge.

Final Submission

  • Final submission of the project must be live on the given hosting on official domain www.innovaite.pk.
  • Poer point presentation MUST be submitted within the same date and time.
  • No changes or access to project shall be allowed after the deadline.
Criteria's

Criteria for competition

Clear and well-defined standards will guide evaluations, ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with the program's goals and expectations.

Evaluation

  • Innovation (20%): Novelty of the idea and creativity in solving the problem.
  • Technical Feasibility (20%): Technical implementation and scalability of the solution.
  • AI Application (15%): How effectively AI solves the identified problem.
  • AI Innovation (15%): Novelty and creative use of AI technologies.
  • Impact (15%): Relevance with the problem definition and its impact.
  • Scalibility (5%): If the idea goes live, would that be scalable to be self-sufficient.
  • Presentation (5%): Clarity and effectiveness in showcasing the project.
  • User Interface & Experience (5%): Usability and interface design.
  • General Public and Aptech students will be allowed to evaluate.

Disqualification

  • Failure to meet deadlines.
  • Breach of originality or plagiarism.
  • Use of GPT - AI Code generators.
  • Non-compliance with team size or project scope.
  • Non-compliance of the development rules.
  • Misconduct.
Team Structure

Each team is led by a Project Manager (Faculty) and consists of 3–5 members with clear roles and responsibilities.Key roles are given below if team members are fewer than listed roles, responsibilities can be merged.

General Guidelines
  • Projects must address a real-world problem and incorporate AI-based solutions.
  • Applications can be web or mobile-based, using modern technologies like Python, TensorFlow, React, Flutter, etc.
  • Each team is limited to one project submission.
  • Teams do not have any right to challenge decision of jury/judges panel.
  • Management reserves the right to cancel the competition at any point in time, amend the rules, timelines, jury & judges panel, winning prize and its criteria whatsoever.
  • No participant of this competition has any right to challenge the decisions in this regard.
Ownership of Source Code & Usability
  • The intellectual property (IP), including source code, UI/UX design, and the developed application, will remain the sole property of the Innovador Solutions.
  • Participants agree to transfer all rights to the institute as a condition of participation
  • Innovador Solutions reserves the right to use, modify, or distribute the developed applications without requiring further consent from the participants.
  • Teams are allowed to showcase their work as part of their portfolio but cannot commercialize or reproduce the application independently.

Team Registration

  • Each Team will consist of Scrum Master, who will be working as Project Manager (must be a faculty) with team of minimum 4 and maximum 5 students with clear roles & responsibilities.
  • Scrum Master will be required to work as a Project Manager.

November 20, 2025

Idea Submission

  • Scrum Master is required to submit the “Problem Statement and proposed Solution” Problem statement.
  • Any idea not conforming to required standard can be rejected and team shall disqualify to move forward.
  • Jury may ask any team to refine the idea and resubmit on the second date. Acceptance of such idea after revision will be communicated in 3 days.

Pitch Day

  • Teams present their ideas through Zoom to a Jury Panel to be announced later, for feedback and approval.

  • Focus On:
    Usability, Scalability and Technical feasibility.
  • This is elimination round and any pitch failing to attract the judges or not fulfilling the required standard can be rejected and team shall be eliminated.

Final Submission

  • Teams submit the completed application with documentation.
  • Project submission includes hosting of the working project on a given hosting platform.
  • Teams shall 100% be responsible for configuration and hosting.

InnovAIte 2.0 2026 is an AI competition designed to empower students and faculty of Aptech to solve real-world problems using cutting-edge AI technologies. It offers participants an opportunity to innovate, compete, and showcase their ideas while building scalable, impactful solutions.

The competition is open to faculty members ("Scrum Masters") and students enrolled in HDSE/ADSE programs at Aptech Shahra-e-Faisal, Metro Stargate Center and Malir Center in Karachi; Aptech Defence Center Hyderabad, Aptech Jamshoro Center and Aptech Johar Town Center Lahore.

Team registration are open till 16th November 2025. Teams can register through the prescribed online form available on this website.

A registration fee of Rs. 10,000 is required per team, with a maximum individual student contribution of Rs. 1,500.

The Scrum Master, who must be a faculty member, serves as the Project Manager. They are responsible for guiding the team, ensuring compliance with competition rules, and managing project development

Teams can modify their composition by replacing a maximum of one team member before the Idea Submission deadline. Changes must be communicated officially.

All project development must be conducted on GitHub, and teams are required to use "OSquare" for project management and progress monitoring.

Training on OSquare will be provided on 27th January 2026.

Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
